Standard Modules

Whenever idio’s platform is deployed, the following modules come as standard.

thumb_hosting Hosting
In order to deploy quickly and cost-effectively, idio uses a cloud computing architecture (Amazon Web Services) . Therefore there is no redundant storage to pay for, and the servers scale up and down to match the demand. The huge number of content selection, auto-layout and tracking decisions have been carefully optimised to ensure the server usage is minimised without detrimenting performance. idio manages the hosting under a mutually-agreed SLA. It is possible for clients to host the platform – please ask for details.

thumb_analytics Analytics
idio’s platform produces a huge amount of actionable usage data. The idio database tracks on unique user level which allows the personalisation engine to automatically deliver more relevant content over time. Queries and reports are set up to mine trends and statistics based on your requirements, and in addition, a 3rd party analytics service tracks aggregate data. Some example analytics queries are listed below:

  • Analysing the users that generate the best ARPU through advertising engagement in order to target promotional effort towards similar users.
  • Identifying the content areas which are rarely read, in order to cut content creation costs without impacting user value.
  • Tracking the unique ID’s of the users that engage with brand messaging, so that those users can be contacted directly, or targeted with further messaging.
  • On a unique user level, tracking whether the reader prefers articles with or without media, and then feeding that into the personalisation engine for ongoing content selection.
  • Mining the popularity of content by user segment to find out what demographics/geographics of users are reading which subjects.
  • Identifying the traffic sources that give users with the best ARPU, in order to pursue promotional partnerships.
