Delivery Channels

Any combination of these channels can be employed to complement existing distribution channels.

Web reader
A content layout engine intelligently creates visually-pleasing magazine layouts, based on the attributes of the content (length of article, colours in photo etc), and delivers the content in a Flex reader. This renders the content based on the constraints of the monitor, with high-quality text rendering and auto-layout reflowing – also making it suitable for the next generation of tablet computers. The interface includes a simple navigation structure, and deeply integrated social features (such as the ability to bookmark, recommend, and view friends’ content).

Offline reader
The Flex interface can also provide a desktop, offline-readable version of the web reader. This contains all the features of the web version (apart from some of the data-driven interactive content elements), and tracks user behaviour even when offline, synching with the analytics system when connected.

Mobile version
This interface streamlines the functionality of the web reader, in order to deliver a quick-loading and readable blend of personalised content. It still contains the sharing functionality, and tracks usage to update the users’ taste profile and provide data for advertisers. It is accessible on most modern handsets, and if required, applications for specific smartphones could be developed (for eg, the iPhone).

App/Widget versions
This interface streamlines the functionality of the web reader, to deliver an engaging blend of personalised content for embedding on any of the major social networks and startpages. Readers can also curate, embed and share their own selection of content through this channel. Specific applications for social network platforms (eg Facebook), which lock into the unique aspects of that environment, can also be developed.

Email newsletter
This delivers an HTML email newsletter to each users, with a blend of the most relevant content for each individual.

Print
idio’s platform can render pages suitable for home printing, or for a personalized glossy magazine printed-on-demand using an integration with HP’s MagCloud.
